So our journey on average is about 5 hours but we usually stop once for pee and once to charge (have an electric car) and a bite to eat. So 5 and a half hours in total. If the roads are an issue can be up to 12! 

Wow that's quite a long drive. But worth it for such a lovely part of the country.

I actually don't mind the drive. Normally we do it late so the little one sleeps through it and I really like driving our car. It's over before you know it. Podcast in the background. Nice bit of peace and quiet. Ha ha 

I'm only half hour away, this has been so hard for me not being able to go there when its only down the road

Right so car is packed. Now just need to go to sleep. Is it too early at 8pm?

7.45am leave tomorrow, pick up my mother, and then straight to The Duchy!

I hope you have a great time and no problems with your van, when we finally get the go ahead to ours I’ve got to replace the diaphragm in our Morco combi boiler as the hot water was playing up when we were last there, I got the replacement parts off eBay.
