I'm Back! Great Trip, Bitter Sweet Ending!

    Hi all,

Sorry for my absence. Just back from a fabulous 2 week break at our 'van. Reception down there is ropy at the best of times and I tend to cut myself off from major internet tasks to stop me checking in with work etc.

Was a great 2 weeks. Weather was a bit hit and miss but when it was good, it was spectacular

We visited local theme parks, went swimming every morning in an owners exclusive session, to the point that my little one thought the on site flume was her personal slide. Went to the local beaches and did some body boarding with my daughter who loved it.

Was a really chilled out time. Met up with some great friends that live down in Cornwall and even had a surprise guest who travelled down from London so we had a proper socially distanced catch up.

We visited Lands End. Was a giant tourist trap, but now I can say that I have done it. Overall a fantastic 2 weeks and I really didn't want to come home. If only for WiFi down on site.

Now for the bitter bit. On the penultimate night I came back after picking up dinner to find that the fridge, of the fridge freezer had packed up. No big deal for us, we had pretty much used up all the food and there was not much waste just some warm drinks, but we did have some renters in just after we left. Everything was under warranty so I headed down to the owners' office so that they could start the process of replacing the fridge. They also needed to put a temporary fridge in the 'van for the renters to use until the new one turns up.  I gave them strict instructions not to put it on the lino, and wherever they put it to put down something on the floor.

    Well they didn't listen

A great big tear in the lino. They stuck it in the most ridiculous position in the kitchen, even though there was a perfect space on the carpet. The biggest issue was the fact that the piece of cardboard they stuck it down on was only big enough for 3 of the fridge's feet. Hence the last foot causing the tear.

So, to say I'm angry is an understatement. I've told them that they need to repair it, and not a bodge job, they'll have to replace the whole lino floor in the kitchen to match all the rest in the caravan. They are contacting Willerby to find out the options. I can already feel Park Dean trying to squirm their way out of this one. But that is not happening.

So a great trip but ended with even more hassle.

How is everyone getting on visiting their 'vans?
