    End of Season
    « on: October 30, 2020, 01:54:18 pm »
Well that is the end of the Season for us.  :'(

Back home now. Loads of washing to do.  ;D The Site actually closes on 6th November but decided to come home earlier as the weather is not too good at the moment and have other things to do. Like a car service and MOT ;D

Just as i was packing up yesterday i removed a carrier bag from under the lounge radiator which was full of water  ???
It seems to be a leak from the bleed valve. I would not of noticed it had it not been for the bag. No idea how long it has been leaking as there is a tide mark on the wall.
Had a fan heater on the area all day. Though it did not feel wet.
Of all things to happen just before going home. The plumber was going to have a look at it today. Just hope it's not needing a new radiator.  ???

Well that's it for this year. Lets all hope next year we can enjoy our statics fully.

    Ian

Ah blimey Ian. That was a lucky spot. Who knows what horror you would of come back to if you hadn't spotted the bag.

How do you think the bag had been there? At least it is going to be sorted.

Always a sad time of year. I'm off down next week to fit WiFi and then at the end of the month to do a full lock down for the winter. Have all my bits that are listed in the winterisation thread.

It's going to be a long 3 months over the winter  :'(

I know. Imagine that leaking for 4 months over the winter period. Like you said dread to think what we would of returned to.
It had been under the radiator for about 2 weeks.  But whether it was leaking before that i have no idea.

I was surprised as the carpet underneath was dry. All i could see was a tide mark on the wall. I did check the flooring and seemed ok. Poked a small screwdriver in the area  ;D
All i could see was a small drop of water from under the bleed valve and a rust trail done the side of the radiator.

I just hope he dosen't say its needs a new radiator.  :'(

It is a sad time of the year but hopefully next year will be a lot better.  It always seems to drag. The 4 months before going back.
Let us know how you get on with the wifi.

    Ian
