    Park Dean Membership Cards
    « on: June 23, 2020, 11:39:51 am »
    Hi all,

So I have to fill out my 10 membership card slots for our Park Dean site. I can't find a clear answer to how they work.

Do the 10 slots re-set every year or do you choose names for the 10 slots and that's it for future seasons?

The reason I ask, there is a £10 change of name fee if you want to update your list. So if it is reset every year then I have no problem adding ad-hoc people who are going to use it for the rest of this truncated holiday season. But if it doesn't reset then I won't add them and make them get weekly passes when they go and reserve my slots for those that will be making regular visits in the future.

Seems a waste of cards if they are re-issuing them every year. And the entire family have come out of the woodwork to use our 'van this season as all their holidays have been cancelled.

So if anyone can shed some light that would be great.

Yeah, those are the ones. Gets you entry into the entertainment and into the pool on our site.

Everything else, as it earns PD money anyway is free to access for anyone.

Yep its the same at our park, I get 10 for the family, but they have to issue new ones each year as we had loads of people just turning up and using all the facilities without paying. i know its a chore but once done its over for another year.

We had problems with the travelling community turning up nicking gas bottles and anything else they could lay their hands on, and then celebrating in the club afterwards, fighting etc luckily once the police turned up they made a quick exit. Now everywhere we go you need to show your passes  :)

    Ah ha, cool.

So it looks like I get 10 for this year and then I select another 10 next year. Perfect as this season is so short that I may as well add everyone who will be using it for replacement holidays this year.

So, I finally got an official answer from Park Dean about the membership cards.

It seems that I now choose 10 people upfront and then they stay for all future seasons (used to be different 10 every year). If I want to change someone out I have to pay £10 fee for a name change and they'll issue a new card.

I only registered 5 for now. None of my friends and family have committed to regular visits so I will save the remaining slots until I get a regular commitment.

The weekly site fee is only around £50 for the whole 'van and that's if people want to use the bar/venue etc. It's not compulsory.
