So in the near recent past I did have a look into something like this but did not come up with anything worthwhile. The front of the caravan didn't seem to have any structural fixing points that I would feel safe in using. Any high wind would most likely catch the awning (if it hadn't been packed away properly) and tear a large chunk of the façade.
I then looked at a way of using my decking to take the main brunt of the structural work but it was too much effort and cost of not a lot of reward.
In the end I went for a banana umbrella like this

It is perfect. Has really good coverage and as it's counterweighted can be put to one side so people don't trip over it etc. Folds down pretty compact as well.
