Hi PKW25,
I have just recently bought a static from Park Dean in Newquay.
They guys on site were really nice. Don't get me wrong, they'll snake oil you to try and get the sale but overall a good experience.
So we rocked up without an appointment. Had a look at a couple of new caravans and decided on one. They gave me the option of 3 locations, apparently the "only" 3 left on the site. They sweetened the deal with "free" wrap around decking and an outside metal shed, oh and waived the site fees for what was left of the year. Not a lot but something.
We then put a £2k refundable deposit to secure the van and pitch. They did chase me a couple of times but nothing too hard. I wanted to do a cold run and stay on the site to make sure it suited us (it did).
We then signed on the dotted line at the end of that trip. Overall pretty seamless. Have to say the sales manager was great, even though you have to take everything he says with a pinch of salt, and the owner liaison is superb.
Van was on pitch in a couple of weeks and we did the key hand over, they stayed late for us as we were travelling down from London.
We also signed up for their letting scheme and used their insurance. Everything under one roof, great for us as all takes care of itself.
Hope that helps. Any more questions, just ask
