So we are off to our 'van today. Very excited. Probably the last time before we go back down to lock down.

Downside I get to assess the damage caused by renters first hand but will get a plan in place to make it right.

Little one is over the moon.

Yes John that's a bit of a bummer  But the way it's going i think we will all be back in another lockdown soon. Where i live it has gone into tier 2.
I had to ask the site if it was ok to stay.
Our site closes anyway on the 31st October until the beginning of March.

Let's all hope it is better by early next year.

Thanks all. We got here A OK. Bit of a rushed leave as work got all panicky just before we were due to leave which left me 4 mins to pack the entire car before we had to pick the bigger child up from school. Made it by the skin of my teeth 

We then took an hour to do 200m in London right at the start of our journey! Once we got going it was plain sailing.

Arrived to find the site had left 2 sets of keys inside, the alarm off and the main door unlocked. It must of been like this for a week as no one was in it last week. Me mum was supposed to be down put pulled out last minute. Colour me not impressed. Words will be had when they get back in the site office on Monday. So glad we’re not letting anymore after this season.

Other than that all is good. New fridge is working perfectly. Other than the damage I already know about everything is as I’d expect.

John, absolutely gutted for you mate. And I agree a second lockdown is on its way real soon so it would of been nice for you to get a trip in before that happens.

Ian157 our site closes on 30th November but like you reopens in March. So I am planning one more trip, in 3 weeks time, on my lonesome to fit a MiFi modem and mast, as Gerry is doing, and a couple of other bits to prep our ‘van for not having renters, like personalised photos and nic naks etc, and then the final trip on the last night for winterisation. That reminds me, I must read that post on things to do for it. Makes me just sad to even be thinking about it

Glad you arrived safely despite the traffic near London 

That is terrible of the site to leave your van unlocked and with the keys inside!!!!! any undesirables  getting onsite would of had a hey day.
I suppose it is good now you have stopped renting as i don't think it is worth all the worry as to whether the van is getting damaged or being left open with keys inside.

Apart from that its good to know most  things seems to be ok.
