Totally agree with Slattster
Should be a quick 5 minute fix with t, he correct part. I did similar but you do need to get the Drain valves that are made for push fit fittings as the connection side is often longer.
I had a leaking stop end on the heating side which was a bit of a dead leg, not sure where it went, So i just cut the pipe live and pushed a new stop end right away. You do lose a bit of water but a quick fill at the boiler and the pressure was back to normal.
