When do you think Caravan sites will be open again ?

They are really losing all the good weather we're getting, if your not sure take a guess !

As long as people practice social distancing i can't see the problem in going to a site, just to spend time in your Static and exercise along the beach ??

Did you see the PM tonight on TV ? I think he dropped a hint that the Hospitality Sector (Which i think covers Caravan Parks and similar) may open by July ??

    Quote
Boris Johnson said Britain's hospitality industry could restart in July, but did little to assuage fears that pubs might be the 'first in and last out of lockdown'.

The PM said he would reopen 'at least some of the hospitality industry and other public places, provided they are safe and enforce social distancing'.

In his televised address to the nation, Mr Johnson set out a tentative three-step 'exit plan' from lockdown 'subject to further scientific advice'.

He said: 'Step Three - at the earliest by July - and subject to all these conditions and further scientific advice; if and only if the numbers support it, we will hope to re-open at least some of the hospitality industry and other public places, provided they are safe and enforce social distancing'.

Some pubs, restaurants, hotels and other public places could begin to reopen in July at the earliest 'if and only if the numbers support it'.

Would be nice to see a bit of Summer  in the Caravan this Year,  would be a shame to let it go on much longer especially for those members who's parks shut down in October

I hope that the sites will extend the season this year to compensate for lost usage of our vans.

I am on an owner only site and it has no facilities so I am hoping it can open sooner, social distancing would be easy and we could take a weeks worth of food so not to bother the locals , one possible stumbling block is it’s in Wales as they are on different lockdown rules to England at the moment .

We’re exactly the same on a 30 owner caravan site with no facilities North Wales 10-1/2 month season.

All being well, I think they may open mid to late July or 1st August.
I think BoJo will want to make the most of the school holidays for the economy if he can.

I'm on an owner only site which I'm glad about. Not sure how I would feel if I had to rent out to cover costs, I don't think I would feel happy with that, nor would I feel happy about staying in a rental as you don't know if it's been thorough;y sanitised between guests. Let's hope all this is over soon and we can social distance on our happy places

Ever the pessimist I am so my prediction is not listed.
I replied  elsewhere to a conversation saying I rather likened it to football I.e.that this years season is over just nobody will admit it.

P.S. What’s the difference between an optimist and a Pessimist The reality is nearly always better than the pessimist expected.  Let’s hope that happens this time.

Optimists generally approach life with a positive outlook, while pessimists tend to expect the worst.  :-[
