Have a Great Day at your Vans Today
    « on: July 04, 2020, 07:49:03 am »
Oh Well the Day that i never thought would come is here.

If you guys and gals are off to your second home please drive safe as i'm sure roads will be packed.  I've been looking forwards to this day for 15 weeks can you believe it  ???

Don't forget to post loads of pictures of your happy place and any horrors you found when getting there.

So from me have a great day, Drive safe and take care if you go out for a pint or two tonight.

I'm just happy meeting up with friends later  ;)

    Gerry

    Thank you Gerry.
You have a safe journey too and enjoy.

Arrived on the  Park at 6:30am ;D
Roads empty. Took just over an hour. Noone around onsite. Prob too early. More have arrived since.

I am amazed. Not one dead fly or any tiny or big spiders  ???
    Flushed the system.

Picked up the click and collect.  :D
Now all ready for several weeks in the van.  :P

Oh quite early John. 5:25 am  ;D

Wanted to avoid the traffic. But the roads were empty.
Perhaps many places are not opening until after 9am

At least it gave the chance to unpack, flush the system and pick up the click and collect.  Now having a well deserved coffee. :P

Quite a bit of work to do in the garden though  ??? Should keep me busy for a while  ;D

Will you be leaving early next week? How far do you have to travel?

Not sure yet what time we will leave, our journey is only 83 miles normally 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours travel time.
First job I’ve got is to replace the diverter valve in our Morco combi boiler as the hot water was playing up just before we left our van on the 23rd March.

    Not too far then.

Is it the Feb-24? Only we had one overheat error back in March. Cant remember the fault code now though. Seems ok at the moment. Will have to see how it goes. Though i don't have the heating on at the moment.

    Only serviced in February.

Good luck with the repair. Hope it goes ok.

We left home about 6.00. A little bit of traffic around as the night shift was just finishing at the local distribution depots. But the motorway stretch was quite and then the road from there was not busy at all. Got to the ‘van about 7.15. Sorted the water, shower heads kettle etc.  Dusted & vac’d, Fridge/ freezer turned on.. car unpacked, and home again for the rest of the gear. We have too much for a single trip especially having closed up properly Knowing the lockdown was coming. But if we get the car packed again we should be all sorted early afternoon and sitting at the ‘van chilling... It’s a pity about tomorrow’s weather forecast but Monday & Tuesday are looking promising. No horror stories to tell all OK apart from low water pressure on the boiler ( at 1 s/b 1.5+ ). That’s soon sorted so no worries.....I hope everybody else gets sorted OK.

    Sounds very well organised.

Do you live very far from the van?  Tommorrow dosen't look too good here. Though no forecast of rain. Just high winds.

Hope you get everything sorted with your packing and unpacking. Enjoy.

Yes Ian Feb-24 3* I bought the parts off eBay and as anything to do with leisure the parts are extortionate.
£48 for a diaphragm and £33 set of O rings.
I could have bought a full Divertor valve for our Vaillant combi at half the price.
