I have to back Ian up on this one.
If you think about it, everyone's phone, out of the box, is set to 4G. Very few people change that setting. That then means the 4G bandwidth is swamped with all the mobile phones in the area. You also have to remember that 4G is much less mature than 3G and didn't really get the investment that it deserved to increase the bandwidth as everyone was talking about 5G before 4G had really got going.
I turn the 4G off on my phone and get much better connection speeds. More than enough to stream a HD movie to a reasonable sized TV. I'm going to be looking for a mifi router soon so I can see if I can work remotely at the 'van. Gerry, on this forum, posted an aerial set up that improved things as well. So will give that a try.
So def give going back to 3G a try. It should be pretty simple to do.
