we have been in our europa (brand new).for 2 months  then we entered lockdown

really enjoyed our experience so for cant wait to get the decking up early next year

we are waiting for a new hob base from belling as it looked like it had been dropped on its head so sank in the middle  so pan stands rattled about when you was cooking .

the main worry point is when we were draining down and we moved all the seating to the middle the wall in the corner was all wet and it had rained heavy through the night. i was up at 5am there was no condensation on the windows so cant have come from there,  we have gone back to the manufacture and they sent someone out and the report is there is not a problem ? 

when you sit in front of the big bay window and lay your arm on the top cushions you feel nothing  but you do it on the small window you can definitely feel a draft .

like i said my worry is when we return to out van in early  February  what are we going to walk in to

Hopefully a mod will move this to the correct section . If they say no problem , it could be condensation , We have got ourselves a dehumidifier that we use when its cold and wet outside , especially if we have a couple of pans boiling away.

You can definitely get condensation on the walls. I have noticed it on our walls in the bedrooms that don't really have any moisture point in their.

My suggestion would be to put out trays of cat litter, or something similar over the winter months.

When it's during the season you will get a lot of condensation when using the gas hob or any gas fire. Water vapour is one of the main by products of burning gas. This will settle anywhere that is colder than the air temperature. Same goes for if it is humid outside. Only real option is to give it a good blast with all the windows open when the air is dryer.

Hopefully that is all it is and nothing more to be concerned about. Good job in moving all the soft furnishing away from the wall. That will hopefully stop any mould getting rooted into your cushions etc.

would condensation not it the double glazing first ?

my worry was that it rained heavy through the night   i was the first one up early doors no condensation on windows in the living area  there was a little about 1 inch  strip at the bottom in our bedroom but i think that can be expected .
the wall was all wet somone as been out and said theres nothing wrong .   i will see what its like when we open at beginning of feb 

im thinking if i think im getting water ingress through a badly sealed window or something in going to borrow my m8s  worx battery power washer

and work my way up from bottom to top on a dry day and see what happens .

Power washer may damage any sealant that’s there , worth keeping an eye on though, we get used to get damp behind our cushions , I assume this was because they are direct on to the wall ,this part of the wall would be the coldest part as it is insulated by the cushions from the heating.Windows open or dehumidifier on sorts it. Re read post , is the damp behind the cushion or in the corner where there aren’t any cushions ? Can you have a drive there while we’re getting these rainy days and check it out again ?

the pressure washer would be a battery operated worx  so not allot of pressure really

but it would put my mind at rest that we are not  getting any ingress

its a brand new van and would like this stuff sorting out under warranty  before it runs out .
and i get caught out with unexpected large bills

park is shut while 1st feb  so i probably got a few  cold rainy weekends up there before  spring
