    Hi everybody, I'm new here.

I have been looking online trying to find a caravan park on the South Coast with affordable annual fees in Sussex, Kent or Hampshire hopefully.

I was wondering if anybody could help me with some suggestions as I keep getting the big holiday parks with annual fees of at least £6,000. I know you get what you pay for but I don't mind quiet parks without all the facilities and would be really grateful if anybody could suggest any places they may know of. I am becoming quite bamboozled by it. Are there any parks with fees of £3,000 to £4,500 for instance.

Thank you very much for any help you can give, much appreciated.

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

First off, welcome to the forum.

My 'van is down in Cornwall but I know site fees are going up everywhere, as with everything else. £6k still seems steep though. Your best bet is to try to look for an independent. Sorry I can't help with that but maybe one of the other members will be along to drop some suggestions.

Hello Lisa , sites near to the coast are usually more expensive , try moving inland a few miles to get the smaller and cheaper sites . Don’t rush into it , decide on the area you like and have a few weekends around the area having a drive about as a lot of smaller sites won’t be found on the internet. Try using google earth , zoom in and scan the area looking for the smaller caravan parks , you can usually go to street view and get the name of the campsite from it road sign then find them on the internet and go and visit them .

We did this a couple of years ago looked at the big sites with big pitch fees then found a small private site just outside Newquay with pitch fees that were half anywhere else , they are out there you’ve just got to be patient
