    Hi all

    Hi all

Just come over from "Go Static" - I was Traction on there.
Hope you are all keeping well, thanks Gerry for setting this up, it's a great service.

No news as yet when my site will open again, it is an owners only site but it's been closed since the start of lock down.  Hopefully it won't be too long, however I am in shielding anyway but it would be nicer to shield by the river than it is on the outskirts of the city!

Stay safe everyone and keep holding on to "this won't last forever" x

    Hi Trishd

Welcome and thanks for coming over, Hopefully more will come over today before Go Static Disappears.

Hopefully after the PM's speech on Sunday there may be a period where the lock down is eased and people may be able to travel a bit further, Would be a shame if we gave up all this glorious weather without being at our site

    Stay safe

    Gerry  :)

    Hi Gerry

well, he will allow us to use cars to go to beauty spots, so fingers crossed he might let up on the no second home usage. I can understand it for holidaymakers, as you can't be sure that the van is sanitised in between guests, but when it's your own and only you use it then I can't see an issue. I'm hoping to be able to go up to mine, I left my engagement and eternity ring there, a box of eggs and a few bits and bobs in the fridge. I also left some flowers which will be dead now lol. I only managed 1 night up there so didn't even get chance to open up properly or finish the cleaning. Never mind, I'm sure all the dust will be waiting for me when I get there. Fingers crossed he gives us the green light soon x

    Thanks Thrishd,

Hopefully it will be July or sooner when  they'll let the sites open, I seem to remember they stopped me from going to my site to stop the local NHS being overwhelmed by since the Hospital admissions are going down  and the NHS are coping i can't see a problem with owners going and observing the social distancing.

ohh.. rotten eggs ??  be sure to hold your breath, I had this in my freezer when i accidently turned it off one day and 3 weeks later. oh the smell i can still smell it now  ;)

Grrr no banana yet Gerry  :'(  I I was quite hopeful until he mentioned 2nd homes specifically, and said no visits. Technically, a caravan isn't a home, as you can't live in it full time .... but that's been pedantic and we all know it's a "no". Let's hope everything goes ok and we can be looking at going from 4th July as that's when he would like to see pubs and hotels open - if the rate stays low. Let's keep everything crossed for then. I think I'm going to get a respirator for when I take those eggs out lol. I hope they haven't cracked or the van is going to stink!!

OMG Gerry, I nearly fell off the chair laughing - that is perfect  ;D

I've just been speaking to my sister, I've said she might be able to get to the van before me, i forgot to mention the eggs to her, she will have to get herself one of these respirator and hazmat suits. You gotta laugh, I can't remember if I left anything else (I was expecting to go up again the following weekend) no doubt whoever gets their first will find out!!

My park are still saying theres no change, Makes me angry as the reason we couldn't go was in case it overwhelmed the NHS, Now the cases are coming down, It would appear Park Holidays are trying to keep their workers on Furlough for as long as possible

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I left some eggs and a packet of ham in the fridge when we last left. The weekend before we were fully looked down. It was a packet of "Minion" ham for my little girl. Let's hope it's not a full grown talking Minion by the time we get back!!

Oops Sparkalicious - that's not good! If it has morphed then you are going to be in big trouble  ;) If it has morphed then it might have walked out of the fridge by itself and said "stuff it" to the social distancing.  If it's still in the van though makes sure you're able to duck as it might start throwing the rotten eggs at you x
