5% VAT on this years fees

Just received our annual Site fees bill for the coming year and was pleased to see that the VAT is now included at the 5% rate.  Saves a few hundred quid. 
Otherwise the Site fees are the same as last year (no increase).  There was no refund last year for being unable to use the Site, but it is an owners-only Site with no communal facilities.
As a concession, the management had agreed to keep the Site open during the normally closed 2 winter months (January & February), but the lockdown cancelled that.
Looking forward to being able to use the van this year, hopefully more than last year.
Hope all you owners are keeping well and preparing for Sites to re-open.

That's great news. Every little bit helps.

Together with the 5% VAT reduction plus reduced site fees for this year works out to about £1000 less than last year. Which i am quite happy about. 

Our site is only open from March to November. No offer of an extension. But pleased with what we were offered.

That’s great news. Is that the final decision on VAT on 2021 pitch fees or could it possibly change in Rishi’s  next budget?

I think the 5% VAT reduction is only available until the beginning of March when it will return to 20%. If the site fees for this year are paid before March then you should get the 5% reduction.

I really must check our site fee. I know they were paid but didn't see the break down. Great news on the 5%. Every little helps and I suppose it softens the blow a little with not having access to our bolt holes.

Would love for them to keep our site open next winter. We are also March till November. Those 3 months don't seem like a lot when you look at them but as soon as you can't go it feels like an age. Would be nice to maybe spend New Years down there this year and get to see some of our friends from the South West of the country for a change. Mind you they may be sick of me with the amount of time I'll be down there when lockdown is over.
