Cluster flies

Hi
How common is cluster flies in caravans and is the position of plot anything to do with probability of attracting cluster flies

We get flies , not sure what type , look like blue bottles but smaller . We get them early in the year then mid September  . I think your just unlucky if you get them .

I replace my Vents for larger ones with a mesh to stop the flies getting in

You need to have gas safe approved vents and because they are larger about 6" x 2" they so not restrict the air flow

Never had a problem with Flies or Spiders coming in from the cold!!

We took off all of our vents, the floor and the ceiling and places fine bug mesh over them before replacing them. Not had a problem since and it was a fairly big issue before. Like Gerry said, you need to make sure you don't block your vents as they are there for air movement and to supply fresh air when burning gas.

I hope you get it sorted as it was driving me nuts and I just couldn't figure out how they were getting in. Now, happy out
