    Wifi charges
    « on: June 29, 2021, 04:12:35 pm »
The owner's of our site are changing wifi providers. We have been informed that this will charged and added to our site fees. I have explained that I do not wish to have wifi as I do not need it. So can I ask can thay charge me for wifi if I dont want it and are thay allowed to add it to the site fees or should it be charged separately? Many thanks

The site need not have informed you of how the costs are being recovered. They could have just added it into the general costs of running the site that make up your annual site fees without saying.
It is just another cost of keeping the site up to a level they want to offer.

As DaveE said, it's pretty much wrapped up in the site fees for running the site. Probably the only reason they told you would be to stop the influx of emails from people complaining about the fees going up without any real explanation. Saying that, they have told everyone and are still going to get complaints.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

That is correct, unless the site is a properly licensed residential site.
In which case, to increase the pitch fee for any reason other than RPI, there has to be a consultation with every resident, and if a MAJORITY of residents declare that they do NOT agree with the increase, then it cannot be imposed.
Of course, if the majority either agree, or (more usually) do not respond at all, then extra costs can be added to all.
(Sorry about the capitals, for some reason it will not let me use bold, underline, or italics for emphasis).

That’s a very fair comment fhb2….I answered as to the position for English Holiday Parks.
With the laws being different for Holiday & Residential Parks, as well as being different within each of the Home Countries, it is easy to fall into the trap of saying what is relevant to your own situation and forgetting it can be different for others.
