    Where’s the season gone?
    « on: November 30, 2021, 08:31:39 am »
Well, we have just returned from our last weekend at the van after winterising and drain down. We had a brilliant first season, getting away every other weekend (Fri - Sun) and 5 weeks of holidays.  If we weren’t there, my parents or our grown up kids and grandchildren were, so it’s been really well used.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of electricity and piped gas from Apr to end of Nov at £99 each and we didn’t scrimp.

We made some wonderful friends and with next years pitch fees already paid, we’re already looking forward to the beginning of March. Hope all other members are well and enjoying their last few weeks (if due to close)……

So glad you had a good first season  :)

We are in our second full season and probably our first fully accessible one if you take Covid into account.

We were also fortunate that we spent oodles of time there. I had 3 months off work with shared parental leave and my misses runs her own business so we had loads of flexibility. The shared parental leave coincided with the school summer holidays so we spent about 5 weeks, almost straight, down there enjoying the weather and beach life. Very lucky  :-* The kids absolutely loved it, from the pool on site to the beaches just up the road.

When we weren't there, just like you Tonks, a member of the family was using it. Truly was fully booked with most key exchanges happening on the site from one to another.

Was a little sad to be closing down over the weekend  :'( Our site is shut for 3 months and it feels like forever until the 1st March. I'll be down there like a flash to re-open on the first weekend available.

Like you our site leccy and gas isn't too bad either. We charge probably 2 electric cars on every visit (mine and my dad's) and there isn't really a massive mark up on the unit price.

Just itching to get back and spend more time out of the big smoke

hi Tonks glad you had a great first season . Our first season never got off the ground due to several delays with delivery to site ,but we eventually got sited in early October and have had several long weekends away so this year will be our first proper season starting 1st March through to 1st January so not to long to go now .Enjoy the new season .
    Regards Brian & Jo
