    Cooker Grill
    « on: May 20, 2021, 04:48:36 pm »
I wonder if anybody can give me some advice

Ever since we brought our new Sierra caravan in July 2020 we have had an issue with the cooker grill. It ignites but when turning the knob to full power there is no 'boost' to the flame, which makes the grill unusable.

The cooker has been replaced by Willerby but the grill is still the same, which makes me wonder if this is an issue with this type of cooker.

Has anyone experienced this type of problem and did they manage to get it rectified

    What have Willerby said?
Presumably they replaced the cooker because they agreed that the grill was not working properly, so if things are the same, then it is still not working properly - so Willerby need to look at it again.
Pointless having a grill that you can't use as a grill.
(Just as an aside, if this is a gas oven and grill, is the gas OK in the oven?)

I've just contacted Willerby who said I would have to report the issue again to obtain a  Log number so they could investigate this issue further as the original log number would have been closed.

The grill has a separate compartment to the oven. All other aspects of the cooker are working normally it's just the grill that doesn't increase in power.

Interesting. Certainly sounds like either another faulty grill, or maybe a faulty connection to the grill - not properly adjusted for gas flow.
I have heard that Willerby have a pretty good reputation for after-sales, so maybe this time they will send somebody to try and find out what is causing the problem rather than just replacing the cooker.

    I have the same problem
The gas oven works fine, although very slow but the gas grill would not cook a thing as the max flame is hardly anything.
Our site charges lpg gas via a meter and is horrendously expensive so we have a george Foreman and an air fryer for a lot of our cooking needs and use the cooker as little as possible.
