    Swift Bordeaux 2017 damp probl
    « on: May 28, 2021, 01:50:29 pm »
We have a 4yr old (April) Swift 38’/2B Bordeaux and 1 month ago noticed damp below the rear bedroom window rhs corner. The wallboard is stained now and worsening. We are waiting for the dealer to view and report. The warranty says Swift will repair up to 3 years from hand over to customer, if Swift will not repair can the Consumer Right Act be used to repair the damage. Does anyone have advice, many thanks

Hello and welcome - and sorry to hear about your problem with damp.
The first thing that Swift/your dealer will do is try and establish what is causing the damp, whether it is a manufacturer fault (such as missing membrane) or owner-maintenance failure (worn sealant).
If it cannot be proven that it is a lack of maintenance, then I think The Consumer Rights act (fit for purpose) should apply.
If Swift/dealer will not arrange repair it may be worth asking your own insurance.
